Parent Education
The BSP offers educational advocacy, career counseling & referral services to help immigrant and low-wage parents understand and stay informed of what is happening in their children's schools, how to advocate for their special needs, and how to enroll their children in summer, extra-curricular, or scholarship programs. BSP instructors also encourage and assist under-served workers or their children to register for local adult schools, community colleges, vocational training programs, and Citizenship Classes.

"My father and I both work as janitors at Stanford University. My father brought me here from Mexico dreaming of a better future for me. The one-on-one instruction I received in the BSP's tutoring program helped me prepare for and pass the GED test- and in English! Now I'm attending Canada community college and researching where I want to transfer to for a BA in sociology or social work.
