Health and Safety Training
Janitors learn to minimize accidents and injuries by learning about potential health risks such as exposure to chemicals and human pathogens, ergonomic and repetitive stress injuries, and slips and falls. The BSP also organizes annual workshops on diabetes prevention and other health issues of concern to low-wage, primarily Latino and African-American, workers.
