UCLA College Tour

The BSP team in LA welcomed over 40 parents and students for our first college visit of the year! Led by our amazing coordinators Ana Priscila Garcia and Jonathan Escalante, the group toured UCLA, heard from current students, and got a glimpse into the first-generation college journey.

College access initiatives are important to BSP and we look forward to hosting more college tours this summer.

BSP’s Family Engagement & College Readiness programs aim to improve educational opportunities for the children of low-wage workers. Through a series of education scholarships, educational workshops, museum trips, and college visits, the program is training a cohort of workers to be advocates for their children’s education.

This important work is made possible thanks to the generous support of our partners, including the Carnegie Corporation of New York and Applied Materials. Their investment in educational equity is helping build stronger pathways for working families and ensuring that more students can imagine—and achieve—a future in higher education.

We are deeply grateful to our supporters for championing these efforts. With their help, BSP continues to foster a culture of aspiration, advocacy, and achievement.

Stay tuned as we plan additional college visits this summer!
