Voter Education and Community Connection
In Northern California, we hosted two Cafecitos centered on nonpartisan voter education and community connection—creating welcoming spaces for learning, dialogue, and civic engagement.
In Palo Alto, we gathered with eight participants eager to learn more about voting and excited to see Cafecitos taking place in their community. The conversation focused on understanding the upcoming special election, how to check voter registration status, and where to find trusted, reliable resources—encouraging questions and shared learning in a supportive environment.
In San Jose, Joel coordinated a Cafecito with thirteen attendees, where participants engaged in a meaningful discussion about the importance of staying informed and participating in elections. The group also came together to create a beautiful Altar de Muertos, blending civic education with cultural connection.
Together, these Cafecitos helped foster informed participation, strengthen community ties, and create spaces where everyone felt encouraged to use their voice.
