Spectrum Volunteer Event

BSP is grateful for our corporate partners!

Spectrum volunteers with UCLA Fellows in Los Angeles

In the summer of 2023, BSP participants engaged with Spectrum volunteers in an event that engaged a team consisting of UCLA Labor Fellows and Mike Garcia Scholarship recipients.

The Spectrum volunteers led mock job interviews with the participants, asking them questions that could be asked during the job interview process. College and career advancement is a goal of BSP programs, and this opportunity helped BSP participants prepare for the future.

In 2022, Spectrum awarded BSP with a $37,000 Spectrum Digital Education grant for its Digital Device Lending program, as part of its five-year, $7 million commitment to digital education in Spectrum communities across the country. A celebratory community event was held at BSP's Los Angeles office with Elected Officials, Spectrum executives, and BSP participants & staff members in attendance to commemorate this award.

Charter sponsors several philanthropic programs in addition to Spectrum Digital Education, including Spectrum Scholars, a scholarship for under-represented college juniors in financial need; Spectrum Employee Community Grants, which supports Charter employees’ local volunteer activities; and the Spectrum Community Investment Loan Fund, which supports small and minority-owned businesses whose goods and services help meet core needs in financially underserved communities within the company’s footprint. More information about Charter’s philanthropic initiatives is available here.

BSP is grateful for Spectrum's ongoing collaboration and support!
