Art Class: Co-Creating Our Well-Being
BSP Students Find Healing Through Art with Painted Brain
Building Skills Partnership (BSP) students stepped into a space of creativity, healing, and self-discovery during an expressive art workshop hosted by Painted Brain. Guided by mental health professionals and teaching artists, students participated in hands-on activities that encouraged self-reflection and emotional expression through art.
Each student created a unique piece that represented their personal journey, struggles, and hopes—offering a powerful way to connect with their inner voice and share their story in a supportive, inclusive environment.
“Art helped me express feelings I didn’t know how to say out loud,” shared one participant. “It felt good to see that others are also going through things and we’re not alone.”
This special workshop was made possible with generous support from the USC Good Neighbors Campaign, whose continued commitment to educational and wellness programming for immigrant and first-gen students helps open doors to growth and opportunity.
We are grateful to Painted Brain for providing a space where mental wellness, creativity, and community care intersect.
At BSP, we believe in nurturing the whole student—not only through academics, but by investing in mental health, self-expression, and resilience.
