Standing Together Across Movements: Reflections from the California NAACP Conference

Luis Sandoval recently joined the @cahinaacp California Conference, a powerful convening that brought together community leaders, advocates, and changemakers from across the state—all committed to advancing justice and equity in California.

Throughout the conference, one message rang especially clear: the deep and inseparable connections between racial justice, immigrant inclusion, and economic opportunity. These intersections are not abstract ideas—they are lived realities for the workers and families we serve every day. At Building Skills Partnership, these values are central to our mission and guide our work across workforce development, immigrant integration, and community advancement.

As we continue building bridges between labor, management, and community partners, gatherings like this remind us that real progress happens when movements come together. Change is strongest when we collaborate across industries, across generations, and across communities—grounded in shared values and collective action.

We are grateful to the NAACP California team for hosting such a meaningful and energizing conference, and for their continued leadership in shaping a more just, inclusive, and equitable California. The work ahead is challenging, but moments like these reaffirm that we are stronger when we stand together.
